WODS-FM/Oldies 103.3 has an immediate opening for a full-time Sales Assistant. We are looking for a professional, detail oriented individual who can multi-task and has exceptional organizational and computer skills to support Sales Managers and Sales Staff and act as a liaison between the Sales Manager and clients/buyers when appropriate. This position works with the promotions department, helping to communicate client’s needs and adding creative ideas to each customized promotion. This position also requires communicating between the sales department traffic and production to ensure all of the clients needs are met.

The ideal candidate is one who is creative, a multi-tasker, a team player, possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, is very organized, has a high energy level and a strong work ethic, and can direct and schedule their daily tasks in a proactive manner. A positive attitude is a must, and the ability to handle constant deadlines is imperative. This ideal candidate should be a self-starter, energetic, efficient and capable of multi-tasking for a variety of personalities in a lively fast paced environment. Must possess strong Microsoft Office Skills, including a very strong knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Sales Managers and Account Executives to execute advertising campaigns and packages on-air, online, on-site and much more. Prepare, edit and finalize sales presentations and recaps, type memos and letters. Create and maintaining one-sheets and media kits for sales staff. Interact with Traffic Department to ensure smooth execution of sales orders and track down missing copy and instructions, write orders and modifications in AE's absence. Act as liaison between AE's and clients, record air checks as needed. Work with other Sales Assistants as needed and perform general administrative duties including faxing, filing, copying and making sure phones are covered at all times.

Qualifications:
WODS/Oldies 103.3 is looking for an energetic part-time promotions assistant. Earn while you learn the promotions business from the inside of one of the best radio stations in Boston. Assistant must be able to work up to 15 hours a week and must have a flexible schedule. Successful applicants are organized, dependable self-starters who are able to set up station equipment (some lifting up to 35 pounds). Professional appearance, friendly demeanor and clean driving records are musts, radio promotion experience a plus but not required
Duties:
• Transporting equipment, setting up and tearing down equipment
• Execute on-site station appearances and station promotional events
• On-site station promotions and event marketing – manage station appearances at sales and station remotes and events
• Responsible for the overall look and feel of the event with the station’s brand in mind--including banner placement and location set-up
• Meeting and greeting listeners, and conducting giveaways
• Clerical office work includes: returning listeners phone calls, mailing out prizes, organizing on air giveaways, writing copy for promotions and assisting the Marketing Director and Promotions Manager.

No radio sales experience needed. Communications skills and a desire to succeed a must!

Ideal candidate will be a strong, dynamic, and ambitious person with desire to sell in an exciting industry. Successful candidate will be trained to develop new business by prospecting over the phone, driving to face to face appointments, and creating ideas that will generate sales for their clients. Written and oral presentation skills are required.
